Atlanta Trip

Mama D, Callie, and I took a road trip to Atlanta to see Aunt Lauren.  We were originally going to see Mama Betty, but after she had been sick we had to make a change of plans.  We still got to see Mama Gerry and Grandad, but we missed Mama Betty!  We will go again this summer to see her.  :)

We stayed at a very nice hotel near Lauren's apartment and had a great view!

Callie wasn't feeling great - she had a little bit of a cold - but she was a trooper!  She is the best. ;)

We went out to eat at delicious Buckhead restaurants (which made me realize how much we are missing out on in Bluffton), did lots of shopping, and ate frozen yogurt every day!  Also, Callie loves lemons and ate them everywhere we went.

On Saturday, we met Mama Gerry and Grandad at the park so they could see Callie.  She had a little picnic lunch, and then had a great surprise - her very own "Mama Betty Quilt"!  It matches her room and is so perfect for her!

After a long and busy day, we went back to the hotel and Callie had a bath in the huge jacuzzi tub and loved it.  Lauren practically had to get in the tub with her - it was so big I could hardly reach her!

We had a great weekend and are so glad that we got to see Aunt Lauren, Mama Gerry, and Grandad.  Can't wait to see them again soon!

9 Months

It is hard to believe Callie is 9 months old!  She went to the doctor last week and here are the results:

Weight: 17 lbs 13 oz (32%ile)
Height: 27 in (32%ile)
Head Circumference: 17 3/4 (91%ile)

The nurse pricked her finger, which she didn't mind at all, and we found out she is anemic.  I think it is pretty common, but it is also hereditary.  She just has to have a liquid multivitamin with iron in orange juice every day.

Here is what she can do developmentally (this is really for me in a few years when I can't remember anything!):

Starting to pull herself up to stand
Can move from laying on her stomach to sitting up (Bryan had to lower the crib last night!)
Lots of talking (mama, dada, hi, and tons of other babbling noises)
Likes to play on the floor with toys
Loves music
Major separation anxiety when Bryan and I leave her
About to crawl!  Here is a video:

Eating:
Oatmeal, yogurt, toast, cheerios
grapes, watermelon, blueberries, apples, pears, bananas, prunes
peas, green beans, spinach, broccoli, squash, yellow squash, carrots
(puree and cut up)

Schedule:
8:30 Wake Up and Breakfast (6 oz bottle, oatmeal/yogurt and fruit)
10/10:30-12 Nap
12:30 Lunch (7 oz bottle, 2 veggies, 1 fruit)
2:30/3-4/4:30 Nap
5:30 Dinner (6 oz bottle, 2 veggies, 2 fruits)
7:30/7:45 Bath and Bedtime (4 oz bottle)

6 Month Report (a little late)

Weight: 16 lbs 1 oz (51%ile)
Height: 25 in (22%ile)
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 (70%ile)

All food was pureed and she ate two or three at each meal with a bottle.  She could sit up very well and rolled over front to back and back to front.  That's all I can remember now!

Funny Face

In the last week Callie has started to make this face and we finally caught it on video.  Enjoy!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with all of the Cranston family.  Aunt Lauren and Auntie Em were home and we had a fun packed weekend.  On Saturday we went to the pool and Callie absolutely loved the water - even though it was a little cold.

On Saturday night, we went to the Easter service at church - which was awesome!  We did the typical southern thing and got all dressed up and took family pictures.

Love this face!

And don't forget Bear...

On Sunday, we had a delicious lunch and then went to the beach while PawPaw and Callie napped.  This picture is from a previous trip to the beach.  Callie has her own personal tent where she hangs out and plays.  She is going to spend a lot of time in her tent this summer while Bryan kite boards.  Good thing she loves the beach!

We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out, eating more food, and watching the Master's.  Callie got comfy with Auntie Em...

Got some more presents in her easter basket at Mama D's house...

And had a LOT to say.  When this babbling turns to words it is going to be crazy!

By the end of the weekend, Callie could not believe we were still taking pictures.  Doesn't this face say, "Really? More pictures?"

Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

Callie had her first Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday!  She got to hang out with Mama D and greet everyone coming to the Egg Hunt.  She waved at absolutely everyone and was the best greeter.

Callie loves to ride on Bryan's shoulders and always has a good grip on his hair. :)

She held on to her Easter basket the whole time, and of course tried to eat it.

When she finally made it to the field to find easter eggs, she got one and tried to get the whole thing in her mouth!

We made it out with only four eggs in the basket, and I enjoyed the candy. ;)

Family Pic!  Thankfully, it did not rain and ended up being a beautiful day.  Fun times!
