Happy Easter

Callie Grace had a very busy Easter weekend.  On Thursday, Amanda and Brantley came over and we painted eggs with watercolors.  Callie had so much fun - and painted all of her eggs with her left hand.

On Saturday, GiGi and Big Daddy came to visit...

and we took Callie to the Yacht Club for decorating Easter eggs and then an Easter Egg Hunt.  We tried to avoid the dye - I think she thought it was juice.  Instead, we decorated a few eggs with stickers....

Callie did try to eat the eggs...

and she actually gave the Easter Bunny a high-five!  She would not let him hold her though - she just watched the other kids take pictures with him.

After decorating, they had a small Easter Egg hunt, and Callie loved it!

Once she had found several eggs, she sat down on the curb to check out everything she had found.

After all of that excitement, we got dressed for church and went to the Saturday night Easter service.  We actually took a family picture...

On Sunday after all of the services were over, Mama D, PawPaw, and Aunt LaLa came over to our house for Easter brunch.  Then Callie got to open her Easter baskets.  She was so excited to get raisins!

After opening more presents, Daddy hid a few Easter eggs in the yard and Callie got to have another hunt.

She was so excited whenever she found an egg and would take it back to her basket.

After collecting all of her eggs, she got to eat some yogurt covered raisins.  What a great treat!  :)

Happy Easter!

March Madness

I can NOT believe that March is over already!  We squeezed a lot of things into March and it went by way too fast.  The Coker's hosted the annual Coker Golf Tournament in Hartsville and Bryan and Callie were able to go.  Callie Grace got to spend some time with her grandparents and Aunt Jamie...

We moved Callie to a "big girl bed" - she is growing up too fast!

The first night we put her in the new bed, she had a big fall off of the end of the bed.  As awful as it was for Bryan and I, she learned not to go near the edge.  She hasn't tried to get near it again and has no problem staying in the bed.  She really doesn't nap in the morning anymore, but she will sit in her bed and read books to all of her stuffed animals.  In the afternoon, she sleeps for about 2 or 3 hours while I work or tutor.  Callie goes to bed around 8 and sleeps until 8:30 or 9 (sometimes later) every morning.  We are blessed with a great sleeper!

On March 19, Emma Hart Grupp was born.  We can't wait to meet her!

And then there are the normal day-to-day activities in our house, like being silly...

trying out "big girl underwear"...

making cookies with Mom (and trying to eat all of the cookie dough).  What can I say - she comes by it honestly...

drinking smoothies with Dad (the girl is obsessed with straws)...

cuddling with Aunt LaLa...

watching Veggie Tales with Dad and letting Bear sit on the couch while Mom is not home...

loving on "Mammy" (yes, she really does call me that)...

Veggie Tales Live came to Savannah and we got to take Callie to her first live show.  Sadly, Bryan could not get off work, but Mama D and Aunt LaLa made the trip.

As we waited patiently for the show to start, Callie was her silly self and tried on Mama D's glasses to get some laughs...

About 10 minutes into the show, Callie was sound asleep.  I guess that is what I get for taking her during nap time...

She woke up after intermission though and thoroughly enjoyed the second half...

On the way home, she sang songs for us and showed us her newly learned interpretive dance moves.  She waves her arms around while she is singing and it is hilarious!  Callie must have a flare for the dramatic like her Auntie Em.  She definitely doesn't get any singing or acting ability from me!
