Who Knew?

Who knew that a baby comes with so much stuff?
After several showers, we have filled up Baby Girl Coker's closet
and her "accessories" are overtaking the house!
We are so grateful to everyone who has given us gifts -
thank you for helping us prepare for her arrival.

The bedding finally arrived!  Still no crib though...
Thank you Katie for all of your help choosing the fabrics.

After many hours of searching, I found a dresser at Vintage Market and I love it!
Thanks, Mom, for driving us to the many many stores and consignment shops to look, and
Thanks, Dad (and Billy and Bryan) for getting it to the house and to her room.

As Aunt Becky says, "Every girl needs to be ready for the beach!"

Thanks to her Daddy, she has a great bouncy seat to hang out in!

A closet full of clothes...a girl after my own heart.

So many diapers!  They are overtaking the closet!

Socks, socks, and more socks!

Washcloths, Duckies, Shampoo, and Hooded Towels - Ready for Bath Time!

And I am sure there is still more to come!

Ready for Football Season!

We are officially ready for Clemson Football.  Bryan and I went to hear Dabo Swinney at the Week of Champions Banquet last week, and now I am excited for football season!  Clemson vs. Auburn on September 17 will be Baby Girl Coker's first game.

She has everything she will need:
-orange Clemson onsie
-purple headband

-Clemson pacifier

-pack 'n play for the hotel
-season tickets
-blankie (thanks Aunt Lauren!)

GO TIGERS!

Baby Shower

Last Sunday, Lauren and Aunt Debbie (along with many others!) hosted a wonderful baby shower for me at Mom's house.  Emi was our official photographer - here are some pictures.

Thanks to everyone who brought such wonderful gifts!  We are so appreciative of each and every thing that you gave us - our baby girl is going to be well dressed and have everything that she needs!

Delicious food and treats!  And everything was in the "black-white-lavendar" theme - so perfect!

Hef flew down from Kentucky to be here for the shower - you are the best!

A few of the many gifts...
-She is ready to go to the pool with me!

Gotta love anything Clemson!

And this one has matching rain boots - she is going to be so cute!

Big thanks to Aunt Lauren for lots of planning - it was an amazing shower!

I'm so glad some of the girls from school were able to come :)

THANKS everyone - I had so much fun!

Gift Registries

After having to make many decisions (which is not easy for me!), I have completed my baby registries.  :) We are registered at:

 - BuyBuyBaby - www.buybuybaby.com
 - Babies R Us - www.babiesrus.com
 - Target - www.target.com

I am still deciding on the bedding and other big items (chair and dresser) for the baby's bedroom.  Hopefully I will know more soon!

It's A Girl!

Sorry this is a little late, but we are having a girl!  We went to the doctor two weeks ago to have an ultrasound and the nurse said she is clearly a girl.  :)  We had seven people in the ultrasound room which was hilarious.  Bryan, his mom and grandmother, my mom, dad, Lauren and Emily were all in the room with the nurse and me while she did the ultrasound.  It was quite the experience!

Bryan and I have decided on a name for our baby girl, but we are not telling anyone.  (And it is not Emma Kate for those of you who are wondering that.)  You will have to wait until she is born to find out!

I have my next appointment on April 18 - just a check up.  We will have to register with the hospital, choose a pediatrician, and sign up for prenatal classes.

My ankles are starting to swell most nights after standing up teaching all day.  The nurse says not to worry about it but to drink lots of water.  Other than that and having a hard time getting comfortable to sleep, I am feeling good!  I can feel her moving a couple times a day - it literally feels like my stomach is doing flips!  Bryan thinks he felt her move one time, but it may be a little early.  The doctor said around 28 weeks (4 more weeks), he will definitely be able to feel her jumping around.  She is growing so fast - August 3 is coming in a hurry!

Food

Lauren came home last weekend and we went to Bonefish on Friday night to celebrate Emi getting in to Clemson.  Baby loves Bang Bang Shrimp!  We are so proud of Emi!  I am sad I will not be able to go to move in weekend because the baby will be only a couple weeks old, but we will be there for football games so she will still get to see us a lot in the fall.  This is us getting ready to go to dinner.

After Mom and Lauren took Emily to the airport for her trip to Belize, we went to the yacht club for lunch and then layed out at the pool for several hours.  I had salad, bread, chicken quesadillas, and m&m's!  And Baby is getting a good suntan already!

On Monday, I met Lauren and Dad for breakfast at Bogie's and had an egg and cheese bagel.  It was delicious but then I was sick for the rest of the day.  :(  Baby definitely does NOT like eggs and I will not be eating any more while I am pregnant.  Lauren thinks this is a sign that the baby is a girl - who knows?!  We will find out on March 21 - Bryan is counting down the days!
