Another Win for the Tigers

Game 2: GA Tech
October 6

It was another beautiful weekend for Clemson football!  Before the game on Saturday, Bryan took Callie for a ride in the kayak.  The life jacket was as big as she was!

Callie had lunch at tailgate...

and didn't eat quite as much of the tailgate food this time!  She got to go to the box with Big Daddy to watch the game and absolutely loved it.  From our seats, we could see her at the window waving and cheering.  When we kicked off and everyone waved their hands, she probably thought that 80,000 people were waving to her.  She had so much fun!  While the rest of us sweated in the sun...

...and cheered our Tigers to another victory.  After the game, Callie was so excited that we won, she walked around the field where we tailgate to cheer for everyone!  It was hilarious and she was having a blast.

Go Daddy Go!

On September 30, Bryan, Lauren, Billy, and Claire completed a Half-Ironman in Augusta, GA.  I like to say that Callie and I (along with Mama D, the Cokers, and Amanda) did a Half-Ironman of our own!  The actual racers all did really well and beat their goal time, although it was a learning experience.  They are already talking about signing up for another one - crazy!  It started very early in the morning Callie woke up with Bryan at 5), and we did not get home until after 9 that night.

Here are a few pre-race pictures...

And they are off!

Swim 1.2 miles...

Bike 56 miles...

And then run a half-marathon (13.1 miles)...

Are you kidding me??  Callie was a cheerleader all day and loved being outside in her stroller.  We walked miles (!!!) to see them at different points in the race, but had a lot of fun.

Way to go Daddy and Aunt Lauren - we are proud of you!

Florida State Game

Away Game 1: Florida State
September 22

When Clemson plays away games, we still get together, eat a ton of food and cheer on our Tigers.  For this game, we went to Mama D and PawPaw's house, and Auntie Em was home for the weekend!  Callie looked absolutely adorable in a cheerleader outfit...although I am already praying that she doesn't want to be a cheerleader.

Touchdown!!
(with lipstick in hand)

Lovin' on her Auntie Em...

Callie is getting to be an expert when it comes to smiling for the camera.  She has even learned to hold my phone, turn it around, hold it up, and smile big!

Unfortunately, Clemson lost this game and we are now 3-1.  Go Tigers!

Oh Snap! It's Gameday!

It's the most wonderful time of the year... FOOTBALL SEASON!
Game 1: Furman
September 15

Callie is getting to be quite the wonderful traveller.  She is used to many hours on the road in the car headed up to Clemson.

This time, she drove up early in the day with Mama D and PawPaw to spend some time with her Auntie Em.

She showed off her walking skills in Auntie Em's new apartment...

and everyone was very impressed!

This football season, we rented a house on the lake for gameday weekends.  It is absolutely gorgeous and so much better than a hotel, especially for Callie.

Bryan and Lauren were in the last weeks of training for their Half-Ironman, so they had to do a lake swim on Saturday morning before heading to tailgate.  Go Daddy and Aunt Lauren!

Callie had a great time at the tailgate, spending lots of time in her own little chair.

Thanks Aunt Jamie for a great birthday present!

(The sad face in this picture is because we were not feeding her fast enough!)  Callie loves all of the food at tailgate.  :)  As do Mom and Aunt Lauren...

Thanks to game time and nap time happening at the same time, Callie spent most of this game at the tailgate with GiGi.

Clemson is now 3-0...Go Tigers!

On the Move

Callie Grace is a very busy little short person who is constantly on the move!  Almost every day, we go to the park.  She loves to be outside and she loves to swing.

On her sleepover party at Mama D and PawPaw's house last week, they took her to breakfast and then to the huge park in Sea Pines.  She loved it!

Last Thursday (September 13), Callie finally decided it was time to walk.  She has been pushing her walker around for a few months...

But she decided she was ready to take off on her own.  She loves to hold your hand while she is walking, but now when you let go she keeps going (instead of sitting down and crying).  Here is Callie showing off her walking skills in Auntie Em's apartment.

She is still a great eater and loves pretty much anything you feed her.  And she has great faces - full of expression!

Callie started going to gymnastics a few weeks ago and it is always interesting.  She can actually hang on the bar all by herself.  She is a little gymnast already!

She also likes to climb on the mats, but she is very cautious.  She likes to watch someone else do it first, and then she will try it as long as I am standing nearby.

It was a big day when I finally got her to crawl through the little tunnel.  Fun times at gymnastics!

We also spend a lot of time playing in her room with all of her toys and books.  She loves to get everything out of her closet and throw it all on the floor.  Callie has several little chairs that she likes to sit it, but her new tailgating chair from Aunt Jamie is a big hit!

Love this little munchkin!

ATL

Summer Vacation 4 of 4
Atlanta

Callie has been quite the traveler this summer!  This time we made a short weekend trip to Atlanta and slammed a lot of things into two and a half days.

We visited Aunt Lauren at Atlantic Station for "Food Truck Fridays".

We got to see where Lauren works, meet some of the people she works with, and of course, eat frozen yogurt, which Callie loves!

While Aunt Lauren worked on Friday afternoon, Mama D, Callie, and I went to visit Mama Betty.  Callie had so much fun playing with Mama Betty.  She crawled around her apartment, read books, sat on her lap and played "this little piggy", and had a great time.  I'm so glad Mama got to spend some time with Callie!

Atlanta has such good food and we had a delicious dinner both nights we were there.  Thursday night we got take out from Houstons so Callie could go to bed on time.  On Friday night, went to a great burger place called Kaleidoscope where I had the best pimento cheeseburger ever.

Saturday morning we met Carrie and her mom for brunch at West Egg - again, delicious food!

Callie ate a big breakfast and then had fun playing with her toys while we chatted.

We squeezed in some pool time while waiting to go to the airport.  Callie still loves the water!

Finally it was time to pick up Auntie Em at the airport!  Emi had been at Kanakuk for eight weeks and we were so ready for her to come home!

Callie was very excited to see her Auntie Em.

We were so happy to have all of the sisters together again.

After a fun-filled weekend, it was time to head home.  Callie was so wound up from all of the excitement she did not go to sleep, but instead talked the whole way home and played games with her Nuk with Auntie Em.

A few weeks at home and then football season kicks off.  Clemson here we come... Go Tigers!
